(C)art(oon)ist and writer Iskander is a widely published cartoonist and author of several cartoon books. He is the founder of cartooning studio SG Cartoons and The Singapore Cartooning Institute.
His cartoons are commissioned by leading corporations and organizations, and his fine art sculptures and paintings have been shown in solo and group exhibitions, including the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Iskander has designed courses and workshops on making cartoons, which have been attended by thousands of Singaporeans of all ages.
He regularly conducts seminars in schools and for corporations. MTV Asia has commissioned his animation and his original animated short film “What's On?” was part of the official selection of the Short Film Festival. As an artist, author and cartoonist, Iskander has been featured in magazines, newspapers, on the radio and on television.
He has created and hosted a webseries “Cartooning In The Wild” and has written and performed standup comedy, including at the renowned Gotham Comedy Club in New York . Recently, Iskander has been working on a new graphic novel, The Intergalactic Lost & Found.
